We’re Munchi Mochi, a small, hands-on team of three based in Aotearoa, creating handmade mochi with
a local twist.
Our journey started with a simple idea: take something we love, do it well, and make it our own.
With backgrounds across food, design, and business, we each bring a different skill set, but what
brought us together was a shared love for good food, creativity, and doing things a little
differently.
Mochi stood out to us for its texture, its versatility, and how fun it is to eat. We started
experimenting in our kitchens, testing ideas, and sharing them with friends and family. The feedback
was better than we expected, and before long, Munchi Mochi was born.
Everything we make is small-batch and carefully crafted. From the early stages of recipe testing to
hand-packing each order, we’re involved every step of the way. We’re big on quality, attention to
detail, and keeping things fresh, both in ingredients and ideas.
Munchi Mochi is still a young business, but we’re proud of how far it’s come. We’re constantly
learning, growing, and thinking of ways to make our product better. Whether it’s refining flavours,
improving packaging, or connecting with the local community.
